Our Local History and Pastor

Our Local History

Action Chapel Baltimore: Dominion Center (ACB) began out of Sunday evening Breakthrough Hour services in August of 2009 at the Holiday Inn on Howard Street in downtown Baltimore, and held its first morning service in January 2010 at Hope Village Center on Fayette Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland. A team of thirteen people were commissioned along with Pastor Cephas and Pastor Lenita Reeves to plant the work in Baltimore in 2009. Rev. Lenita is now the senior pastor as her husband, Pastor Cephas is on assignment in Liberia.

Currently, ACB is growing into a dynamic, international ministry, touching the nations through preaching, prayer, discipleship, teaching, deliverance meetings, and conferences, under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Lenita Reeves.

Action Chapel Baltimore is a branch of Action Churches worldwide, and its parent church, Action Chapel International (ACI) was started in 1979 in Accra, Ghana, by Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams and pioneered the charismatic movement in that part of Africa. Currently, ACI has over 100 affiliate churches worldwide. In the US, “Action” as the church is commonly known, currently has other branch churches in North America in Silver Spring, MD, Alexandria, Virginia, Bronx, New York, Tulsa, OK and Reading, PA. Bishop Kibby Otoo is the presiding Bishop of the North American churches.

Rev. Lenita Reeves is the Senior Pastor of Action Chapel Baltimore. She is also the founder of PurposeHouse Publishing and PurposeHouse Biblical Counseling. Some call her preacher and some call her teacher, but all agree that she is a prophetic voice who speaks with transparency to show others that God can turn pain into a platform, and use the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. She was ordained by Archbishop N. Duncan-Williams in 2009 as a Reverend minister and as pastor in 2011. She is an author of seven books, publisher, international speaker, and member of the RAINN speaker’s bureau. She has traveled as a featured conference speaker in the USA, London, Jamaica, Haiti, the Bahamas, Kenya, Uganda, and Ghana. She has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Master of Arts in Dance Education, and MBA from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is the daughter of Ben and Shirley Williamson, is married to Cephas Reeves, and the mother of four biological children: Elijah, Cenita, Ethan and Joshua.
